We make books for families.
The Summer House
West Falmouth, Massachusetts
This is quintessential Cape Cod. The beadboard is lacquered with decades of white paint, the outdoor shower is surrounded by sailcloth, and the exterior shows the high water line from the Hurricane of 1938. Three generations have spent their summers here, swimming, playing tennis, and sneaking out for moonlit escapades on the beach. We loved hearing their stories and capturing this particular moment in time - celebrating the grandmother, daughters, and grandchildren under the old oak tree in the backyard. The addition of area maps, vintage postcards, and historic photographs added a lot of depth to an already fascinating family book.
The Designer
Dover, Massachusetts
We knew that this interior designer’s home was going to be beautiful - but we didn’t expect to encounter so many layers of history and heart. From her nana’s china lovingly displayed on her kitchen walls to the thoughtfully curated artwork in every room, this Dover home is at once filled with color, comfort, and preserved memories. One of our favorite moments of this project was finding the original blueprints for the home in the Historic New England archives, bringing this Royal Barry Wills designed home to life on the pages of the book. And also the pets.
A Moment in Time
Wellesley, Massachusetts
A young family moves into a home. Renovations are made, walls are painted, a new baby arrives. The kids go to nursery school, then elementary school, middle and high school. Hobbies and sports and artistic endeavors bloom. Meals are cooked and enjoyed, multiple bands are formed in the basement, concerts are played in the garage. The kids start to move toward college and beyond. How do you capture it all? Those living, breathing moments of a family’s home? We spent time doing just that in this home - documenting vast Lego builds, bumper sticker collections, and the quirky murals left behind from a previous owner.
The Collector
Wellesley, Massachusetts
We were delighted to tell the story of this well-traveled couple’s home, one that features an eclectic mix of fine art, meaningful curios, and beloved treasures from around the world. In this house, each piece of art holds its own history - how it was made, where it came from, how it found its way into their collection, and why it matters. We worked with our photographer to thoughtfully capture the collection while recording their colorful stories. The result is a book rich in details, memories and art, featuring the provenance of the artifacts, some of which the homeowner was delighted to discover.
